“Lore Maintenance: Now With 20% Less Rambling”
I’ve been doing some careful housekeeping around the world of Heimshuhl, refining, renaming, and organizing the lore so it’s easier to explore. I promise there’s a logic to how it’s arranged.
What?
Don’t look at me like that. There really is. I swear.
Three main pages are now live (or newly updated): the character archive, the glossary, and the interactive maps.
️ Heimvar – The Characters of Heimshuhl
The character page has finally been given its proper in-world name: Heimvar. While only lightly updated, it now better reflects the tone and structure of the world. This is an expanded version of the character section that will eventually appear in the back of Fractured Rune.
If you want to meet the heroes, misfits, and occasional cryptid who shape Heimshuhl’s story, this is where to start.
Heimskript – The Glossary of Heimshuhl
The Heimskript is completely new. It’s a comprehensive glossary gathering names, terms, places, and magical concepts from across Heimshuhl. It’s written to give readers and lore lovers alike a deeper understanding of the world behind The Aeldstorm Saga while keeping everything accessible and neatly organized.
️ Interactive Maps of Heimshuhl
The interactive maps have been updated and expanded with cleaner navigation and a few extra details. You can now explore the continents, regions, and key story locations with greater clarity and a bit less chaos.
Book Design Progress
On the publishing front, the interior layout for Fractured Rune is almost complete. The 6×9 paperback edition currently clocks in at about 580 pages, including front matter and all the back matter. I’ll soon be adapting the layout for a 7×10 hardcover and working to tighten it closer to 550 pages if possible.
That might sound small, but every page counts when you’re wrangling text, formatting, and art into something cohesive. Depending on how the adjustments go, book one may not get a hardcover release, and book two is looking even less likely in its current form, at least without some serious trimming or a split.
Explore the World of Heimshuhl
These updates bring the kind of worldbuilding polish that makes me absurdly happy. Whether you’re a new visitor or already following The Aeldstorm Saga’s development, there’s plenty to explore.
