The Shadow Has a Name: Announcing Koltja’s Shadow

Yesterday, I told you something was coming. Today, it has a name. 👀

Koltja’s Shadow, Book Two of my trans-led epic sci-fantasy series, The Aeldstorm Saga, is coming early 2027!

I’ve mentioned that I was aiming for early next year, but it feels pretty damn good to make it official. Silfra’s story continues with dangerous alliances, painful truths, and a dark goddess taking entirely too much interest in her life.

And now I finally get to share the blurb with you. 💜

The Dark Maiden watches. Her flame burns in the hands of a heretic.

As Hamari’s past and her reasons for coming to Heimshuhl emerge, Silfra questions how much she truly knows about the woman she loves. Meanwhile, Lady Thornefeldt’s unsettling interest threatens to reveal how another woman’s stolen choices have shaped Silfra’s life.

Silfra seeks the Fyrisian Federation’s aid in a war whose true stakes reach far beyond Voluspa’s invasion. Its leaders defend Asteron against the armies of Johra Valdriksen, once Silfra’s childhood friend, now Enfyra’s chosen. But Silfra knows that defeating Voluspa’s armies will not be enough. The war’s outcome is bound to what lies within the Iskalt Abyss, a place few enter and fewer survive. She must convince the Federation that winning the war will mean nothing if there is no world left to save.

Yet even if Silfra wins the Federation’s trust, she must still decide how much of her own to place in Koltja, the Dark Maiden whose flame she carries.

I’ll share the exact release date as we get closer. For now, I’m excited to let you in on a little of what’s ahead.

If you haven’t read Fractured Rune yet, there’s time to catch up before I make everyone’s lives considerably worse.

Start the saga with Fractured Rune.
