For any of my non-American readers who may be unaware this Thursday is Thanksgiving. I’ll be taking a break from the serial this week due to the holiday, but expect the serial to wrap up in the coming weeks.
To my fellow Americans go eat some turkey and enjoy your time off.
If you do any shopping, please be patient with any retail workers with whom you might be dealing. This time of year most retailers take on extra help and some of the employees will have only been on the job for a few weeks or less before working on Black Friday. Remember also in cases that stores that open on Thursday people are working instead of spending that time with their family. If a store runs out of product, the workers of these big retail chains have no say in how much product is ordered. I worked retail a number of years ago and the company I worked for did none of their ordering at store level. Not even the general manager had any say over what product we received. Every time I was yelled at it was over matters not my fault and beyond my control. Please remember that when shopping. I know sometimes it’s easy to get frustrated, but don’t take your anger out on someone who’s just doing their job.
