So, I do apologize for my silence as of late, but I have a good reason for that. In my previous blog I mentioned that I was working directed (mandatory) overtime and, well, I have been working fifty hour work weeks for the last three weeks straight. No word on whether or not I will be working it again this week so I cannot say whether you’ll be seeing another serial part this coming Saturday or Sunday. So, I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
In other news, I do have another project I’ve been working on and I thought it might be fun to share it here. I plan to build a life size Lego Christmas tree. Yep, you read that right. I may be slightly insane for undertaking such a huge project on top of my writing but by hell I think it’s going to be pretty damned awesome! I built a test version of the base and hopefully here soon I’ll be building the internal supports and the lazy susan it’s going to sit on. The base will be built primarily from Duplo Blocks and once I finish that I will be populating it with Lego trains, buildings and people. Below you can see some of the designs I created on my computer and the test version of the base I built. (the final version will be all red)
